Biography
Dimitris Kaberidis (also credited as Dimitris Kamberidis or Dimitris Kamperidis; Greek: Δημήτρης Καμπερίδης) was a Greek actor. He was born in 1946 in Drama, Greece, and died in Athens in 2010.
He trained at the Drama School of the National Theatre and with Pellos Katselis. As a student he appeared in productions at the National Theatre and the State Theatre of Northern Greece, and performed as a dancer with Zouzou Nikoloudi's Choirika group. His professional debut was at the People's Theatre of Manos Katrakis; he was a founding member of the Free Theatre and later worked with the Art Theatre, the Spyros Evangelatos Amphitheatre, the National Theatre of Greece and independent companies. In the mid-2000s he appeared in several National Theatre productions.
Kaberidis appeared in films including Landscape in the Mist (1988), Ulysses' Gaze (1995) and Captain Corelli's Mandolin (2001), in which he played Father Arsenios. He also featured in television series such as Logo Timis, Eisai to tairi mou and Sto kamping, and worked with directors including Theodoros Angelopoulos, Pantelis Voulgaris and others.
