Biography
Dionys Mascolo (1916–1997) was a French actor, writer and political activist. He appeared in several films during the 1970s, including as José Ramos in My Little Loves (1974) and as the voice of Voix Intemporelle in India Song (1975). Other credits include Nathalie Granger (1972) and Woman of the Ganges (1974).
Born in Saint-Gratien, Val-d'Oise, Mascolo was married to the filmmaker Marguerite Duras from 1947 to 1956. He also worked as a literary editor and was active in left-wing politics and the French Resistance.
