Biography

Larbi Doghmi was a Moroccan actor. Born in Rabat in 1931, he trained in theatre from the late 1940s, working with the Al Mâamora company and the National Theatre Troupe, and later taught rhetoric at the Institute of Theatrical Research after Moroccan independence. He appeared in numerous Moroccan films, radio and television productions, and worked in voice dubbing.

Internationally, he is known for roles in The Man Who Would Be King (1975) as Ootah, The Black Stallion (1979) as Arab, The Black Stallion Returns (1983) as Tiny Man, and Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold (1986) as Nasta. He died in Rabat on 28 October 1994.
