Biography
Domenico Scala (1903–1989) was an Italian cinematographer. Born in Turin, he began working in the film industry in the 1920s as a camera assistant during the silent era and became a chief cinematographer from 1931.
He was credited on more than sixty films. Scala shared the cinematography duties with Aldo Tonti on Luchino Visconti's Ossessione (1943). His other credits include Sunday in August (1950) and numerous productions from the 1930s to the 1960s.
