Biography
Dominic Ona-Ariki is a Cook Islands–New Zealand actor. He made his screen debut in 2007 on the New Zealand soap opera Shortland Street, playing Tane Samuels and later Gabriel Tuakeu. After a period away from acting he returned with roles in the 2017 comedy feature Gary of the Pacific and the 2019 film Savage.
Ona-Ariki is best known for his leading performance as Ariki Davis across three seasons of the television series One Lane Bridge (2020–2022). He received the Best Actor award at the 2023 New Zealand Television Awards for the role. His other credits include Double Parked (2023–2024), The Commons, Erotic Stories, Secrets at Red Rocks (2025) and Playing Gracie Darling (2025). He appears as Roger in the 2026 feature Spa Weekend.
