Biography
Dorothy Tristan was an American actress and screenwriter. She made her film debut in End of the Road (1970) and played Arlyn Page in Klute (1971). Other film roles include Coley in Scarecrow (1973), Alice in Swashbuckler (1976), Helen in Rollercoaster (1977) and Dorothy in Down and Out in Beverly Hills (1986).
She began her career as a model and appeared on covers of Vogue and Life. Tristan wrote or co-wrote films including Weeds (1987), Steal the Sky (1988), A Piece of Eden (2000) and Suspended Animation (2001). She wrote and starred in The Looking Glass (2015), directed by her husband John D. Hancock, with whom she frequently collaborated. She also appeared in television series such as The Incredible Hulk (1977).
Born in New York City in 1934, Tristan died in La Porte, Indiana, in 2023.
