Biography
Dots Johnson (born Hylan Johnson) was an American stage and film actor. He was born on 3 February 1913 in Baltimore, Maryland, and died on 22 August 1986 in New York City.
Johnson appeared in Roberto Rossellini's neorealist film Paisan (1946) as Joe, an American MP in the Naples episode. His other screen credits include No Way Out (1950) as Lefty Jones, The Joe Louis Story (1953) as Julian Black, and The Grissom Gang (1971) as Johnny Hutchins. He also performed in stage productions and used several variant professional names, including Dotts Johnson and Dots. M. Johnson.
