Biography
Dove Cameron is an American actress and singer. Born Chloe Celeste Hosterman on 15 January 1996 in Bainbridge Island, Washington, she began acting in community theatre as a child and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 14 to pursue a career.
She rose to prominence playing dual title roles in the Disney Channel series Liv and Maddie (2013–2017), for which she received a Daytime Emmy Award. Cameron is also known for portraying Mal in the Descendants film series, beginning with the 2015 Disney Channel Original Movie Descendants and its sequels in 2017 and 2019. Her other credits include guest roles in The Mentalist (2012), Shameless (2012), and Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2018), as well as the films Barely Lethal (2015) and Dumplin' (2018).
