Biography
Duane Adler is an American screenwriter and film director. He wrote the story and co-wrote the screenplay for the 2001 dance film Save the Last Dance. He also wrote the story and co-wrote the screenplay for the 2006 film Step Up.
Adler was born in North Carolina and grew up in the suburbs of Washington, DC, and in Odenton, Maryland. He attended the University of Maryland, College Park. His other writing credits include The Way She Moves (2001), Make It Happen (2008) and contributions to the Step Up franchise. He has also directed films including God's Waiting List (2006) and Make Your Move (2013).
