Biography
Duane Jones was an American actor. He played the lead role of Ben in the 1968 horror film Night of the Living Dead.
Jones also appeared in Ganja & Hess (1973) as Dr Hess Green, Losing Ground (1982) and Beat Street (1984). He directed the Maguire Theater at the State University of New York at Old Westbury and served as artistic director of the Richard Allen Center for Culture and Art in Manhattan. He held a B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh and an M.A. from New York University.
