Biography
Dustin O'Halloran is an American composer and pianist. He was born on 8 September 1971 in Phoenix, Arizona, and grew up in Hawaii and Los Angeles. He began his career in the late 1990s as a member of the indie rock band Devics before releasing solo piano albums and moving into film and television scoring.
O'Halloran is known for his scores for Marie Antoinette (2006), Like Crazy (2011), Lion (2016, co-composed with Volker Bertelmann), The Hate U Give (2018), God's Own Country (2017), The Old Guard (2020, with Bertelmann), Ammonite (2020), and Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy (2025). He won a Primetime Emmy Award in 2015 for the main title theme to the series Transparent. He is also one half of the ambient duo A Winged Victory for the Sullen with Adam Wiltzie.
