Biography
Eberhard Junkersdorf is a German film producer. Born in Berlin on 27 September 1938, he began working in the industry in the early 1960s as a production manager and assistant at Rialto Film, later serving as line producer on Volker Schlöndorff's The Tin Drum (1979).
In 1973 he co-founded Bioskop Film with Schlöndorff and Reinhard Hauff. The company produced key works of New German Cinema, including The Lost Honour of Katharina Blum (1975), Knife in the Head (1978), Marianne and Juliane (1981) and Rosa Luxemburg (1986). Junkersdorf has produced more than fifty films since 1975 and was a member of the jury at the 38th Berlin International Film Festival in 1988.
He later founded Munich Animation in 1995 and has worked as producer, director and writer on animated features such as The Fearless Four (1997) and Jester Till (2003).
