Biography
Eddie Mayehoff (1909–1992) was an American actor. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he studied at the Yale School of Music before beginning his career as a musician and bandleader. He later moved into comedy, performing impersonations in nightclubs and on radio, and appeared on Broadway in productions including Season in the Sun (1950) and A Visit to a Small Planet (1957), for which he received a Tony nomination.
Mayehoff made his film debut in That's My Boy (1951) and appeared in several Martin and Lewis comedies, including The Stooge (1953) and Artists and Models (1955), in which he played Mr. Murdock. He is also known for his role as Harold Lampson in How to Murder Your Wife (1965). His other film credits include Off Limits (1952) and Luv (1967). He worked in television and commercials during the 1950s and 1960s.
