Biography
Edna Ruth Paul is a film editor. She edited The Evil Dead (1981), Fear No Evil (1981) and The Waiting Room (1973). She also served as editorial consultant on Blood Simple (1984) and edited episodes of the television series ABC Afterschool Specials (1973–1976).
Paul worked on low-budget films while based in Detroit and New York. She mentored Joel Coen, who assisted her as an editor on The Evil Dead; Coen has cited her influence on his editing and storytelling techniques.
