Biography
Edward E. Paramore Jr. (1895–1956) was an American screenwriter. He wrote the screenplay for The Bitter Tea of General Yen (1933), directed by Frank Capra and based on the novel by Grace Zaring Stone.
Paramore began writing for the stage, co-authoring the 1929 Broadway play Ringside with George Abbott and Hyatt Daab; it was adapted into the film Night Parade. He worked as a staff screenwriter at Paramount and contributed to films including Baby Take a Bow (1934), Three Comrades (1938) and Man of Conquest (1939). He was one of the founders of the Screen Actors Guild and retired from screenwriting in 1943.
He died in Shreveport, Louisiana, from injuries sustained in a parking garage accident.
