Biography
Einar Axelsson (also credited as Einar Axelson) was a Swedish stage and film actor. Born on 25 February 1895 in Lund, Skåne län, he died on 30 October 1971 in Stocksund, Stockholms län.
He was the son of actors Konstantin and Amelie Axelsson and the brother of journalist George Axelsson. Axelsson began his stage career in the early 1910s and worked with companies including those of Karin Swanström and Ernst Eklund before joining the Royal Dramatic Theatre in 1941. His film roles spanned the silent era to the 1970s; he is credited as David's younger brother in Victor Sjöström's The Phantom Carriage (1921) and appeared in numerous other Swedish productions.
