Biography
Elan Mastai is a Canadian screenwriter and novelist. He was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, and studied film at Queen's University and Concordia University.
His screenwriting credits include MVP 2: Most Vertical Primate (2001), Alone in the Dark (2005), The Samaritan (2012) and What If (2013, also known as The F Word), for which he won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. He served as a staff writer and producer on the NBC series This Is Us (2016–2022), receiving a Primetime Emmy nomination. Mastai is also the author of the novel All Our Wrong Todays (2017).
