Biography
Elio Marcuzzo was an Italian actor. He was born on 27 July 1917 in Treviso, Veneto, and died on 28 July 1945 in Breda di Piave, Veneto.
Marcuzzo made his screen debut in Il feroce Saladino (1937). He appeared in Sissignora (1942) and worked alongside Alberto Sordi in La signorina (1942). He is best known for playing the character known as Lo Spagnolo in Luchino Visconti's Ossessione (1943). His other credits include Silenzio, si gira! (1943), Il cappello da prete (1944) and Carmen (1945).
He was murdered in July 1945 by a group of former partisans, in an incident arising from a misunderstanding over translation work he had undertaken during the war.
