Biography
Ella Greenhill is a British television writer and playwright. She began working on Coronation Street as a storyliner in 2015 after winning a place on the ITV Coronation Street Original Voices scheme, which included a paid internship in the story department. She has written over 100 episodes of the series since her first episode aired in February 2016.
Her other television credits include episodes of the CBBC series The Dumping Ground, as well as Malory Towers and PJ Masks: Power Heroes. Greenhill is primarily known as a playwright, with works including Plastic Figurines (which had a national tour), Made in Britain, A Deafening Silence and Mind the Gap. Her plays have been performed across the UK and internationally in Mexico, New York, Madrid and Romania.
She has held writing attachments and residencies with companies including Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse, Paines Plough, the Royal Court Studio writers group and Theatre 503.
