Biography
Ellen Sandweiss is an American actress. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, and graduated from the University of Michigan with degrees in theatre and drama and theatre management. She first worked with director Sam Raimi and actor Bruce Campbell while at high school in the Detroit area, appearing in their early Super 8 short films.
Sandweiss is best known for playing Cheryl Williams in The Evil Dead (1981). She later appeared in Satan's Playground (2006), My Name Is Bruce (2007) as Cheryl, Oz the Great and Powerful (2013) and Ash vs Evil Dead (2016), reprising the role of Cheryl. She has also worked in musical theatre as a dancer and singer, and in a one-woman show of Jewish music.
