Biography
Élodie Bouchez is a French actress. She was born on 5 April 1973 in Montreuil-sous-Bois, Seine-Saint-Denis, France.
She made her film debut in Stan the Flasher (1990), directed by Serge Gainsbourg. Bouchez studied theatre and gained recognition for her role as Maïté Alvarez in André Téchiné’s Wild Reeds (1994), for which she received the César Award for Most Promising Actress in 1995. She later won the César Award for Best Actress and shared the Best Actress prize at the Cannes Film Festival for her performance in La Vie rêvée des anges (1998).
Bouchez has appeared in international television series including Alias (2005–2006) as Renée Rienne and The L Word (2004) as Claude Mondrian. She is married to Thomas Bangalter, formerly of the electronic music duo Daft Punk.
