Biography
Émile Keppens was a Belgian actor and film director of the silent era. Born in Brussels in 1866, he moved to Paris in 1903, where he managed a music-hall venue and performed on stage before entering cinema around 1910.
He appeared in numerous French productions, including serials directed by Louis Feuillade and Léonce Perret. Keppens played George Baldwin in The Vampires or, The Arch Criminals of Paris (1915) and featured in films such as The Child of Paris (1913) and The Mystery of the Rocks of Kador (1912). He also directed a small number of works, among them L'Aiglonne (1922).
Keppens died in Marseille in 1926.
