Biography
Emiliano Piedra was a Spanish film producer. Born in Madrid in 1931, he began working in film distribution at the age of seventeen and later founded the distributor Brepi Films. He moved into production in the early 1960s.
Piedra produced Orson Welles’s Chimes at Midnight (1965). He collaborated with director Carlos Saura on Blood Wedding (1981), Carmen (1983) and El amor brujo (1986). He was married to actress Emma Penella from 1967 until his death. Piedra died in Madrid on 28 August 1991.
