Biography
Emily Halpern is an American screenwriter. She was born in Massachusetts and graduated from Harvard College. She began her career as a writer on the CBS series The Unit and the ABC series Private Practice.
Halpern has frequently collaborated with Sarah Haskins. Together they created the ABC sitcom Trophy Wife (2013–2014) and the CBS series Carol's Second Act (2019–2020). Their feature screenplays include Booksmart (2019), directed by Olivia Wilde, and 80 for Brady (2023). Halpern was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay for Booksmart.
