Biography
Emir Hadžihafizbegović is a Bosnian actor. Born on 20 August 1961 in Tuzla, he graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo in 1986. He began his career in theatre, working at the Folk Theatre in Tuzla from 1989 to 1992 and joining the National Theatre of Sarajevo in 1996. He has also taught acting at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Tuzla.
Hadžihafizbegović is known for film roles including Fahro Zulfikarpašić in When Father Was Away on Business (1985), Puška in Grbavica: The Land of My Dreams (2006), Poručnik Safet Pašić in The Border Post (2006), Esad in Circles (2013) and Joka in Quo Vadis, Aida? (2021). He won the Best Actor award at the 71st Venice International Film Festival for his role in These Are the Rules (2014) and has received multiple Golden Arena awards.
