Biography
Emmanuel Carrère is a French writer, screenwriter and film director. Born in Paris on 9 December 1957, he is the author of novels including The Adversary (2000) and Limonov (2011). Several of his works have been adapted for the screen, and he has written and directed films such as The Moustache (2005) and Between Two Worlds (2022).
Carrère co-wrote the screenplay for The Wizard of the Kremlin (2026) with Olivier Assayas, based on the novel by Giuliano da Empoli. He also appears in the film as Edouard Vercambre.
