Biography
Emmett Corrigan, born Antoine Zilles, was a Dutch-born American stage and screen actor. His career began in the 1880s with a stage debut in Baltimore at the age of fourteen; he later attended Ilchester College and appeared on Broadway, including as Sheik Ilderim in the 1899 production of Ben-Hur and Simonides in the 1900 revival.
He made his film debut in the silent era with Greater Love Hath No Man (1915) and continued working into the early sound period. Among his later credits were Bishop Harkness in The Bitter Tea of General Yen (1932) and an uncredited Police Captain in Me and My Gal (1932).
Corrigan died in Los Angeles on 29 October 1932.
