Biography
Éric Heumann is a French film producer and director. He began his career at MK2 before founding the production company Paradis Films in 1984, of which he remains co-manager. In 1986 he co-founded the distribution company Bac Films with Jean Labadie and Stéphane Sorlat, and in the late 1990s he founded Océan Films.
He has produced or co-produced films including Landscape in the Mist (1988), Indochine (1992), Eternity and a Day (1998), Millennium Mambo (2001), 2046 (2004) and The Princess of Montpensier (2010). Heumann has also directed features such as Port Djema (1997), for which he received a Silver Bear for Best Director.
