Biography
Eric Nyari is an American film producer born on 20 October 1981. He is president of Cineric Creative and international representative for the film restoration company Cineric, Inc. Based in Tokyo and New York, he has produced numerous films in Japan and the United States, and has overseen 4K restorations of Japanese classics including Kenji Mizoguchi’s Ugetsu and Yasujirō Ozu’s Late Spring.
His credits include executive producer on At Any Price (2012) and Another Happy Day (2011), producer on Ryuichi Sakamoto: Coda (2017) and Black Box Diaries (2024), and co-producer on Salvation Boulevard (2011). He has also produced Happyend (2024) and the short Instruments of a Beating Heart (2024). Nyari is the son of Balazs Nyari, president of Cineric, and is married to filmmaker Ema Ryan Yamazaki.
