Biography
Erika Green Swafford is an American television writer and producer. She earned an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and began her career in acquisitions at the Oxygen network before moving into writing. She was selected for the Warner Bros. Writers' Workshop and the WGA Writer Access Project.
Swafford joined the CBS series The Mentalist (2008) as a staff writer shortly after the 2007–2008 WGA strike and remained for six seasons, rising to producer while writing thirteen episodes. She later worked as a writer and producer on ABC's How to Get Away with Murder, for which she received an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series. Subsequent credits include Reverie and New Amsterdam.
