Biography
Erik Smitt is a lighting artist and director of photography who worked at Pixar Animation Studios. He began his career in the lighting department on Monsters, Inc. (2001) and contributed to numerous subsequent films in roles including lighting artist, lighting lead and master lighting artist.
His credits include master lighting artist on The Incredibles (2004), Toy Story 3 (2010) and Brave (2012). He served as director of photography for lighting on the short Piper (2016) and on Incredibles 2 (2018), and later worked as creative producer on projects including Blush (2021).
