Biography
Eslinda Núñez is a Cuban actress known for her work in film, television and theatre. Born on 27 December 1943 in Santa Clara, she trained at the Academia de Teatro Estudio and began her career in the early 1960s with the Teatro Musical de La Habana before making her screen debut in the 1963 film El otro Cristóbal.
She gained prominence with roles in Lucía (1968) and as Noemi in Memories of Underdevelopment (1968). Her later film credits include Juan of the Dead (2011) as Berta and A Translator (2018) as Dr Rivas. Núñez has also appeared in numerous stage productions and television series.
Among her awards are the Premio Nacional de Cine de Cuba in 2011 and the Coral de Honor at the Havana Film Festival.
