Biography
Esther Martínez Lobato is a Spanish screenwriter, creator and television producer. She began her career in 2000 as a script coordinator and writer, later working at Globomedia on series including Paco's Men (2005–2010), where she served as executive co-producer in the final season, and The Boat.
She co-created Locked Up (Vis a Vis, 2015) with Álex Pina and others, serving as writer and executive co-producer. Martínez Lobato left Globomedia to join Vancouver Media, where she worked as co-executive producer and script coordinator on the first two seasons of Money Heist (La Casa de Papel, 2017–2021). She has since created or co-created further series including Sky Rojo (2021) and Berlin (2023), and contributed writing and producing credits to projects such as White Lines (2020) and The Pier (2019).
