Biography
Etta Lee, also credited as Etta Lee Frost, was an American actress. She was born Etta Lee Frost on 12 September 1906 in Kauai, Hawaii, and died on 27 October 1956 in Eureka, California. Of Chinese and French descent, she grew up in California, earned a degree in education from Occidental College in Los Angeles, taught briefly in Hawaii, and later moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting.
Lee appeared in supporting roles in silent films from 1921 to 1935, often in exotic or maid parts. Her credits include A Tale of Two Worlds (1921), The Toll of the Sea (1922), The Untameable (1923), The Thief of Bagdad (1924) as Slave of the Sand Board (uncredited), The Trouble with Wives (1925), Camille (1926), International House (1933) and Clive of India (1935). She was married to Frank Robinson Brown from 1932 until her death.
