Biography
Éva Almássy Albert is a Hungarian actress born on 31 January 1948 in Budapest. She trained in pantomime and began her stage career in 1969 at the Petőfi Theatre in Veszprém, later working at theatres in Szolnok, Békéscsaba, Kecskemét, Pécs, Nyíregyháza and Győr before becoming freelance in 1988.
She is known for film roles including Schmidtné in Béla Tarr's Satantango (1994), Aunt Piri in Werckmeister Harmonies (2000) and a part in The Man from London (2007). She has also appeared in earlier Hungarian films such as Kopaszkutya (1981) and Dögkeselyű (1982). She received the Filmes Nívódíj in 1981 and Színházi Nívódíj awards in 1982 and 1983. Her husband is the actor Péter Györgyfalvay.
