Biography
Eva Maria Schneider was a German actress. She played the role of Marie-Goot (Maria 'Marie Goot' Schirmer) in the television series Heimat (1984) and reprised the character in Die zweite Heimat (1992).
A resident of Kirchberg in the Hunsrück region, she was a lay actress who led the local amateur theatre group Theatergruppe Dumnissus. She also conducted guided bus tours of the Heimat filming locations and appeared in other productions including Hinter Kaifeck (2009) and Heimat Fragments: The Women (2006). Schneider died in 2019.
