Biography
Evelin van Rei, also credited as Ann Evelin Lawford, is a Dutch cinematographer. She holds a first-class BA (Hons) from Cambridge School of Art and began her career as a camera trainee and clapper/loader before progressing to director of photography roles on shorts, documentaries and television.
She shot episodes of the Apple TV+ series Bad Sisters (2022), which won the BAFTA for Best Drama Series in 2023. Van Rei received the Angénieux Special Encouragement Award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2022 and is a full voting member of BAFTA and the Netherlands Society of Cinematographers (NSC). She is based in London and works on films, series and commercials.
