Biography
Evelyn Brent, born Mary Elizabeth Riggs and also credited as Betty Riggs or Bettie Riggs, was an American film and stage actress. She began her career as an extra in New Jersey studios around 1914 and appeared in silent films before moving to England for stage and screen work. She returned to the United States in the early 1920s.
Brent appeared in more than 100 films. She is noted for her roles as Feathers in Underworld (1927) and Natalie Dabrova in The Last Command (1928). Later credits include Natalie Cortez in The Seventh Victim (1943). She received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960 and later worked as an actor's agent.
