Biography
Evelyn Rack is a Berlin-based film editor whose work includes both fiction and documentary features. She edited Mascha Schilinski’s Sound of Falling (2025, also known as In die Sonne schauen), which premiered in competition at the Cannes Film Festival and shared the Jury Prize.
Her other credits include We Might as Well Be Dead (2022), which opened the Perspektive Deutsches Kino section at the Berlinale, Ararat (2023) and Drifter (2023, additional editing), both of which screened at the Berlinale, and the documentary House with a Voice (2024). She participated in Berlinale Talents in 2023 as a Perspektive Match Talent and received a nomination for the Heiner Carow Prize for Best Editing.
Rack is a member of the European Film Academy and the British Film Editors (BFE). She has also contributed to several television projects and shorter films.
