Biography
Evgenia Peretz is a screenwriter and journalist. She wrote the screenplay for the 2018 film Juliet, Naked, directed by Jesse Peretz and based on the novel by Nick Hornby, in collaboration with Tamara Jenkins, Jim Taylor and Phil Alden Robinson. She also co-wrote the screenplay for the 2011 film Our Idiot Brother, again directed by Jesse Peretz.
Peretz has worked as a contributing editor at Vanity Fair since 1999, writing on politics, culture and profiles. She is the sister of director Jesse Peretz and daughter of publisher Marty Peretz. In 2024 she directed episodes of the television series Anatomy of Lies.
