Biography
Fabrizio Gifuni is an Italian stage, film and television actor. Born in Rome on 16 July 1966, he trained at the Silvio D’Amico National Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating in 1992. He made his film debut in 1996 and gained early recognition for roles in The Way We Laughed (1998) and A Love (1999).
Gifuni is known for his performance as Carlo Tommasi in The Best of Youth (2003). Other notable film roles include appearances in Hannibal (2001), Piazza Fontana: The Italian Conspiracy (2012) and Human Capital (2013). He has also worked extensively in theatre and television, including the series My Brilliant Friend. He has won two David di Donatello awards and two Silver Ribbons.
He is married to actress Sonia Bergamasco, with whom he has appeared in several productions including The Best of Youth.
