Biography
Federico Forquet is an Italian costume designer and fashion designer. He received a costume design credit on Bernardo Bertolucci’s Before the Revolution (1964) and on Missione speciale Lady Chaplin (1966).
Forquet trained with Cristóbal Balenciaga in Paris in the mid-1950s before establishing his own couture house in Rome in 1962. He created garments for numerous films and dressed actresses including Sophia Loren, though official costume credits were limited to the two titles noted above. He closed his atelier in 1971–72 and later worked in interior decoration and garden design.
