Biography

Felicity Abbott is a New Zealand production designer who has worked on film and television productions in Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Europe. She holds a BFA from the Elam School of Fine Arts at the University of Auckland and an MA (Hons) in Production Design from the Australian Film Television and Radio School, completed in 1999.

Her credits include the 2018 comedy-drama Ladies in Black, directed by Bruce Beresford; the 2018 science-fiction film Upgrade; the 2020 miniseries The Luminaries; the 2022 horror film The Invitation; and the 2024 film Tarot. She has also designed episodes of Redfern Now and the upcoming series My Brilliant Career.

Abbott has received awards and nominations for production design, including a win at the 2020 New Zealand Television Awards for The Luminaries and the Docklands Studios Melbourne Award at the 2025 Australian Production Design Guild Awards for Tarot.
