Biography
Ferdinand Krůta (6 May 1920 – 1 June 1992) was a Czech actor born in Prague. His mother, Kateřina Kaclová, was one of the first Czech film actresses.
He began acting as an amateur during the German occupation and after the war performed at Malostranská beseda. He later worked in regional and village theatres, including in Kolín, before joining the D 34 company and then Divadlo E. F. Buriana from 1960 until his retirement in 1985.
On screen he appeared in more than seventy films, including Closely Watched Trains (1966) as Masa's Uncle Noneman, Larks on a String (1969) as Kudla, Adela Has Not Had Supper Yet (1978) voicing Carter's Teacher, and Larks on a String (1990) as Kudla.
