Biography
Franca Marzi was an Italian film actress. Born Francesca Marsi in Rome, she began her career in revue theatre before making her screen debut in the mid-1940s.
She appeared in around eighty films between 1943 and 1977, frequently cast in comedic and sentimental roles, including several alongside Totò. Her most notable performance was as Wanda, the friend of the lead character, in Federico Fellini's Nights of Cabiria (1957), for which she received the Nastro d'Argento for Best Supporting Actress.
Marzi's final film was Ecco noi per esempio... (1977). She died in Cinisello Balsamo in 1989.
