Biography
Frances Dade, also credited early in her career as Lorelei Lee, was an American actress. She was born Frances Pemberton Dade on 14 February 1907 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and died there on 21 January 1968.
Dade moved to Hollywood in the late 1920s. She appeared in an uncredited role in The Constant Nymph (1928) and in several films in 1930, including Raffles and Grumpy. In 1931 she played Lucy Weston in Dracula, her best-known role, and was named one of the WAMPAS Baby Stars. Her final film was Big Town (1932). She also appeared on Broadway in Collision that year. Dade retired from acting after her marriage to Brock Van Avery in 1932 and later worked as a nurse.
