Biography
Frances White is an English actress born on 1 November 1938 in Leeds. She trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and has worked in film, television and voice-over since the 1960s.
She is known for her television roles as Julia in the BBC series I, Claudius (1976), Vera Flood in the sitcom May to December (1989–1994), and Kate Hamilton in Crossroads. White also voiced Granny Pig in the animated series Peppa Pig (2004–present). Her film appearances include The Pumpkin Eater (1964) as Older Dinah and Mary, Queen of Scots (1971) as Mary Fleming. Other credits encompass the Doctor Who story The Myth Makers (as Cassandra) and Prince Regent (as Queen Charlotte). She continues to work as an actress and voice artist.
