Biography
Francis Lederer was a Czech-born actor who worked in European theatre and film before moving to the United States. Credited early as Franz Lederer, he played Alwa Schön in G. W. Pabst's Pandora's Box (1929).
He appeared in American films including Midnight (1939) and Confessions of a Nazi Spy (1939), and later took roles in television series such as Mission: Impossible (1966) and Night Gallery (1970). Lederer also continued stage work and taught acting.
