Biography
François-Marie Banier is a French actor, novelist, playwright, artist and photographer. He was born on 27 June 1947 in Paris.
Banier has appeared in several films, including L'Argent (1983) as Yvon's cellmate, Four Adventures of Reinette and Mirabelle (1987) as the first passer-by, The Tree, the Mayor and the Mediatheque (1993) as Régis Lebrun-Blondet, Summer Hours (2008) as the president of the commission on donations, and My King (2015) as the mayor. His published novels include Le Passé Composé (1971) and Balthazar, Fils de Famille (1985). In 2016 he was convicted of abuse of weakness in connection with the elderly billionaire Liliane Bettencourt.
