Biography
Frans Bromet is a Dutch cinematographer, director and programme maker. Born on 29 August 1944 in Amsterdam, he trained at the Nederlandse Filmacademie and was part of the 1,2,3 film group in the mid-1960s.
He worked as director of photography on feature films including A Question of Silence (1982) and Ciske the Rat (1984), as well as other productions such as Gebroken Spiegels (1984) and Op hoop van zegen (1986). From the 1990s he focused increasingly on documentaries and television programmes, often combining camerawork with interviewing and directing.
